    Unwillingly we go forth:

Before leaving office, President Barack Obama expelled 35 Russian diplomats, seized a pair of diplomatic properties and imposed sanctions in response to the election interference. But, until Thursday, Mr. Trump’s administration had refused to follow suit. While his administration has sanctioned some Russians for human rights abuses or for the intervention in Ukraine, the measures announced on Thursday represented the first time Mr. Trump’s administration took action on the meddling, and it acted only after Congress passed nearly unanimously legislation meant to force his hand.

The sanctions targeted the same Russian organizations and operatives identified by Mr. Mueller in an indictment that outlined an audacious attempt to spread disinformation and propaganda to disrupt American democracy and, eventually, influence the vote on behalf of Mr. Trump. The sanctions also responded to other cyberattacks, including a previously unconfirmed attempt to penetrate the American energy grid.

“The administration is confronting and countering malign Russian cyberactivity, including their attempted interference in U.S. elections, destructive cyberattacks, and intrusions targeting critical infrastructure,” Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin said in a statement. “These targeted sanctions are a part of a broader effort to address the ongoing nefarious attacks emanating from Russia.”
I don't care the source or cause of the action---it is long past due

I'm guessing we have the same ability as they do, if so lets head in and thoroughly make a mess of things. Lets teach them how and what playing with our power qrid is capable of doing. We simply cannot allow this to continue. Screw the PC scared stuff and lets get on with business. Part of their messing with the power grid has to do with our nuclear reactors, one ability is to shut down cooling . That's a maybe, I got one article on my phone that said they could and another that said they couldn't.

Nothing is a given but in the case of grid security as well as individual plant electronic data security that is primarily in the hands of the grid managers---in my case PJM Interconnection.

They have an auditing oversight by a third party (sorry I forget the name) that is constantly reviewing procedures, methods and system redundancy to be as proactive as possible in preventing any incursion--apparently to now they have succeeded in frustrating the bad guys.

    Added in edit:

I am now reading that there are signs that they have penetrated these systems and could have taken over control. That is possible since my information is from the inside of only one grid manager. That is very serious stuff---and not something we can continue to deny or ignore.

I have found that with Trump, if you focus on the actual policies, instead of his personal antics, you get a much different perspective on his Presidency.

    It ain't all bad.

It looks as if the media wants Trump to say "uncle" but he won't. Never gonna happen no matter what. But important stuff IS happening and it isn't all bad. These sanctions would not have been implemented without his approval so good for us.

Don't know know why I feel the need to answer you, you said so much so quickly is probably what got me confused. As far as I'm concerned you hit the nail on the head every time. The left focus on his antics making him bad the right try to focus on the good. Nothing much is really all bad it just depends on how you look at it most times.
Trump saying; "Uncle, Sorry, your right I'm wrong," NEVER! I agree; "No matter what!"
And thank you for affirming that Trump still had to OK the sanctions.
