    Too Cool! I'm with Mike!
Rather it was all about the spin---and for many it was manna--no thought process necessary, no objectivity, no verification with facts readily available--just suck up the spin

thanks guys, I really like sculpting with cement... its pretty cool to see how it all comes out. Since the landscape season has really fired up this spring, I have not one bit of time to mosaic this so I offered it as a collaboration with an artist in Texas. We'll split the credit for it 50/50, as well as any proceeds if it sells. I'm preparing to ship it out soon. When she finishes glassing it, I'll be sure to post the final pics

    2-T Looks Great.

Be careful 'cause Dan will be along shortly probably wanting another Grouper Hug.

Don't forget, I'm here all week.

    Very cool 2T....

Those things are noisy underwater. Scared me out of a reef cave once, until I figured out what was making all the racket.

They look so docile in aquariums, but I'm told you can feel the pull as they suck in water

Nah, I glue a bunch of polystyrene sheets together and carve it. then wrap it in drywall tape and start with a cement slurry application to give it some tooth for the later troweled on cement and fine sand mixture... its fun

Like that idea. Wouldn't be too heavy then.

When I saw the finish I figured you're better then some of the guy pouring floors around here.

a few years ago I made a mushroom, it was my 1st experience with a trowel and I got a good feel for it...

this summer I'm hoping to build a round bale of hay, using that technique of double diamond mesh, so that it will be hollow... but I need to man up and try my hand at acid stains... scared

I always enjoy seeing what you're up too. This piece is giving me inspiration to return to a "big idea" I started last fall, it's also a fish. The mold I have isn't correct which has stalled progress. Guess that issue alone shouldn't deter initial progress of color selection etc. But that is my excuse and I'm stickin to it....
