"The Lifetime Powertrain Warranty covers the cost of all parts and labor needed to repair covered powertrain components – engine, transmission and drive system."
So... if Joe American drives his vehicle 50,000 miles a year (I know people who do) and needs a rebuild every 5 or 6 years, Chrysler will do it? I'm skeptical. It looks like the guy in this scenario would be covered - but we'll see what happens.
Long term this could get very expensive for Chrysler. I think it would have been smarter simply to match GM's warranty (e.g., 100,000 miles) to be competitive.

No diesels.
Who can afford to tow a trailer using a gasser?
Pretty smart move on Dodge's part. I suspect the impact on sales will be far higher than the claims resulting from it.
They have a rather soft underbelly with the transmission but I am sure that the warranty is not transferable and how many people are going to try to drive a Dodge truck a half million miles

I have to admit, that I looked at trading the Marauder for a magnum or charger when I heard about the warranty, but I will wait to see if they survive first. it would be like buying a warranty on a Kaiser...
