You have a fertile imagination, Dork, and more than a little paranoia. I merely said to mark bullets and casings sold, which eventually would provide solid clues and means of tracking when bullets are found in bodies. It is not fool proof and nothing in the suggestion clashes with the 2nd and certainly not with the 4th. The “right to carry” is not holy writ or an impediment to being caught when you commit crimes or malfeasance with guns.

What safety measures are you going to give on Knives? Do you have to have a background check to own a knife, you have to pass a NICS test before buying a gun.
As has been shown in London, if you take away guns people use knives. As has been shown in Chicago, NY and DC, if you really restrict guns people still get them and use them. As has been shown in different Countries around the world, if you take away anything they can still use a truck.
It is not the weapon, it is the mentality of the person committing the crimes. Bottom line, murder or attempted murder is also a law, that law was not followed by the PERSON, committing the crimes. Which pretty much means taking away one thing does not change the end result the whacko is trying to attain.
As far as serial numbering ammo and casings, I have doubts about that.
Reloads will have none of those markings.
Stolen ammo would flourish.
Billions of rounds have been saved and stored that have no markings on them at all.
Military rounds have no markings as well as any ammo bought outside of the Country
Shotgun pellets would be impossible to mark and those could be easily home made.
Even if that law ever made the books, it would take decades to get all of the ammo not marked to get used up, and even then the brass could be reloaded.
It's just more liberal gun control crap, if you can't control the gun, control the ammo...as we see Kalif now doing and other states. limit the ammo you can buy, what kind and how to use it.
Why does the 1st cover TV, E-mail and all other electronic means, yet the 2nd only cover what was black powder and limited in scope....but yet the 2nd mentions firearms by name.....
The AR15 today is the musket of yesterday.....however, liberals want you restricted to a musket and hunting only......
There are a lot of folks who hunt with the AR 15 platform. I have an 11 year old great niece that hunts with one in a 6.5 Grendel. Here is a video of a little girl hunting with one.

Lets even the playing field. Everyone that get s a DUI is given an AR 15. The comparisons are getting to be old hat.

What is your serious suggestion Bo? There is a problem with people killing other people, the other problem is the inability for rational people to define what the cause is. There are a certain set that are blaming just the gun. I think the facts posted above about guns being highly regulated and even outlawed really had little effect on the killing with other methods.
