I agree with you totally wannabe. None of the firearms I have ever owned have ever shot a human. Pistols or rifles either one. I thank God I have never had to use one in that way, but I would not hesitate if somebody was going to do harm to myself or my family.

I've a friend that has a 22 that looks just like my sons AR-15. I mean exactly, retractable stock, front handle, accessory rail, barrel cover....what ever all that stuff is called. Does that make it an assault weapon?
Anybody that thinks we can just pass a law and all the guns will just go away is literally a good bit past stupid. All the arguments are out there, ban guns and only outlaws will have guns etc... anything I say will just be redundant.
It's estimated that there are over 400 million guns in the U.S. If the laws on the books were enforced, if we were allowed to frisk gang bangers and skin heads and the like.....If we'd quit being so damn PC and worried about hurting somebodies feelings by taking kids like this last shooter out of circulation and getting them accessed, by doing a lot of common sense things. In Florida you can be committed for up to a year for drinking to much, you show a judge that your hubby is a drunk and he's gone!! But you can't do anything about a violent kid, an obviously violent kid with guns!!!!! BS!

Laws banning guns will work just as effectively as the laws banning illicit drugs.

You might want to check your HISTORY.

    1961
Eugene Stoner leaves ArmaLite to serve as a consultant to Colt Firearms. At this point, ArmaLite was out of the AR-15 business – for the time being. The United States Air Force tests the AR 15 Rifle and purchases 8,500 rifles.

    1963
The Air Force standardizes the AR 15 and designates the rifle M-16. 85,000 rifles are purchased by the Air Force. Also this year, the US Army purchases 85,000 more M-16 rifles.

The standard AR that a person can go down to Academy or their local gun store is the "low end" of the market rifles, hence my calling them a cheap copy. They run about 500-600 hundred bucks and will not function like the military version. Most of these clowns running around with those have probably used up the barrel life by shooting round after round as fast as they can and warped them. They are probably never cleaned and probably would not shoot much further than a football field.

The actual govt versions are better made and cost much more than the local plinker wants to pay for quality. They will not lay down 1500-2000 for a good quality model, rather paying the "Walmart" price and then shooting the crap out of it and wearing all of the moving parts out. In a situation where they really needed to use it, it would probably jam on them. Had a friend that bought a cheap M4 22, it would shoot one or two rounds and jam. He wanted to get rid of it as he bought an M+P model by S&W and it never jammed, so he let me use it for a couple of months. I got tired of having to clear a job for the kids so I gave it back to him. That was just a 22. I do not want to think what a 223 or even the 308 model would do.

Ignore the person in the picture, focus on the rifles, the top one was my issued Colt, it had no forward assist and a 3 prong flash suppressor along with a 3 digit serial number. It was one of the 1st 399 Colt AR15's ever purchased by the USAF. I want to say the SN was 320 but can't find my weapons qual car showing the number.

Low end yes, but so are all "high end" nothing but a copy, unless you actually produce AR15's for the US Govt you do NOT have access to the specs. You do NOT have access to actual dimensions and all requirements & instead are copied/reverse engineered. They are copies....

Some companies have built GI specked AR15's out and have that data, but it's very close hole, just as the actual gas port dimension is, most are over gassed to keep malfunctions down.

How many rounds does it take to burn out a barrel or warp it so it's not a straight shooter.....any idea, or just blowing smoke out your backside?

My LaRue AR15 has not been "cleaned" in years, bore snake, rag and SliP 2000 is it, I"ve shot many thousands of steel cased ammo and today if I pull it out at 600 yards it will hit a 10inch plate......

My Bushmaster the daughter has, same thing and bushmasters are known for ****ty barrels and out of specs, but it will poke you in the head at 300 yards.....

Not better, but people are lead to believe milspec is "better" or the best there is.....not even close....

22's are way different than 5.56 rifles.....

Rifles and pistols do NOT jam, that's what goes on toast, they malfunction.......

How about drunk drivers.......that's illegal...why not blame the vehicle....

People are cowards, they want to ban all the guns, there are more guns in America than people, you will never ban them and get rid of them all...

And they want somebody else to go around collecting them, they want em banned & yet refuse to go knocking on doors demanding their neighbors give up their guns....it's always got to be somebody else....

But these are also the same people that call 911 demanding a armed policemen come help them........

My M-16 had the three prong flash suppressor. It was handy for cutting the steel straps to get into a pallet of C-rations.

Lot of difference between Bushmasters and the DPMS or ATI's bargain basements these clowns get. The Florida guy worked in part time in a dollar store, I doubt he was gonna throw the bread for a Colt M4 or FN.

Your level of expertise is not even comparable to the clowns running around shooting up schools and churches. Their guns dont know what a bore snake is and the last oil they got was when it left the factory.

That clown was a millionaire James---I think he could afford it.

Notice we have not seen the gun yet. If he was a millionaire why was he living at a friends house? Just asking, something does not add up. Why did he just decide to shoot up a school suddenly after owning the "assault" rifle for a year? Things are just as strange as the guy in Vegas who suddenly decided to shoot a bunch of folks at a concert. We have gotten nothing but strange noises out of that as well. Timelines don add up, witnesses cant be found and all of a sudden there is nothing in the news about what happened.

I am starting to think that somebody is looking for deranged people to setup for a mass killing to either draw attention or to push some agenda. It seems that the laws that are in place to prevent these things are being forgotten or not being enforced. My question then would be, what is writing a new law going to do to change things? That Cruz kid was a big problem for a long time, he should have been committed or arrested long before he killed all of those innocent kids.
