It would be nice to have a couple of dependable, inexpensive lifetime batteries for the mighty Dodge/Cummins......Ben

I went back and read the piece again and noticed a promotional cartoon video referenced at the end I missed the first time through. After watching it, my childish mind on these matters now better understands what they are selling. I recommend a viewing for those interested.

I note that the info here studiously fails to quantify the output in anything a layman can use. It tells us how many electrons the decay can produce, but who knows what that means in terms of watts or milliwatts, which does mean something? I am having trouble with the concept that a gram of this stuff decaying over 28,000 years could produce enough usable electricity in short time frames.

Maybe I just have a poor concept of how much pure energy is in a given mass. I know that about 2 lbs. of uranium blew Hiroshima away when the energy was released all at once.

Batteries still need to be practical. It's coming, but I'm afraid I will still have to replace my 16 giant 6v batteries with lead-acid dinos next go 'round.

As a matter of fact I spent most of yesterday replacing the forward / reverse switch and upgraded all 13 cables from #6 to #2. Big difference in cable size!

Another article about these batteries that will really disappoint you unless the company in the first article is correct on their assessment of their new battery. I suspect they are vastly exaggerating in the first article. However, this second article has a lot of good information.
