    Hate getting a computer.....

Hate it. Besides waiting for all the uploads one has to do it's remembering all the different passwords for all the different companies that we order from. Figure it'll be middle of next week to get those all straighten out. LOL

Still trying to get the usual stuff to mesh with it.

I figured out a solution to virtually all decisions in life - ask my wife. Since my accident, she's the smart one, literally.

Try using a good password manager. I use DASHLANE. It helps me a lot.

I can’t remember the password for the manager I meticulously programmed, but it was a damned good one.
I remember telling myself it was so unbreakable, I was sure I could never guess it myself.

Thanks for the advice guys. I let the wife help out to the point of adding passwords, cause she'll use hers and I'll never figure them out. LOL

My last update was almost painless.

My IT guy took the hard drives out of my then existing computers and mirrored them into the new drives. Since almost all of my software is now leased the transition was seamless. My extensive use of the cloud also aided the process.

The key here is “my IT guy.”

Well all I can say it's light speed ahead of the old one. It makes spelling errors faster than I can put them down.

My new HP is perhaps too smart. For, it automatically remembers passwords and applies them. It'll be great until some hacker designs a worm that will pull passwords out of our computers.

That is an option that you should be able to control in your browser, I don't think that is coming from your OS. It should, at very least, open a screen asking if it should remember the password.

Bingo, my friend. So, I need to remember to document the password rather than meekly assuming I'll remember it.
