Ummm...I might not get to enjoy much of a Christmas dinner this year, but my peanut butter and crackers is looking a lot better after seeing that......Ben

That's enough to make anyone happy that Christmas comes only once a year

My only question before I order is whether the cans are the kinds that can be fully opened on both ends allowing for the contents to be pushed out whole. I would hate to have to scoop out the contents thus destroying the beautiful symmetry of the packaging. Then again, maybe if the consumer were to heat the intact can in hot water, opening just the top would allow the complete & intact contents to slide out with layers complete.

Your thoughts about preparation cause me to think back to eating meals out of a can---an OD Green can. If I was lucky I could find out a way to heat it up---most of the time I just ate it cold
Cold scrambled eggs and ham out of a can was one hell of a way to start the day---we even had canned bread to go with it
It didn't take me long to understand why I always saw GI's on news clips throwing candy to the kids along the road--it was inedible
Added in edit: Thinking back to that experience I recalled the trading that went on---especially for cigarettes. We got a five pack in our rations. They were of various brands. I was lucky, I smoked Lucky Strikes, Pall Mall or Camels----most guys didn't want them so I could make a deal---on occasion I could even do a two for one

That reminds me of a really fine movie — King Rat — featuring bartering in a WWII Japanese prisoner of war camp. George Seagel should have been considered for an Academy Award for his portrayal of the title character imho. The movie was adapted from James Clavell’s first book. My mind wanders with advancing age...sorry.
