Screwiest thing I've seen in a while...He's guilty by my reckoning, but the prosecutors (who are hired guns in private practice, not government prosecutors) concluded their prosecution without presenting their key witnesses and evidence...The fix was in......Ben

Of course it was. It was a Trump Republican dominated Senate trying a Trump Attorney General. Anyone who thought there might be a different outcome is living in a fantasy world. This is Rusty Hardin's darkest hour. I used to have respect for him, but he Giulianied out. Let his legacy be that of Giuliani.

And no, there is no relation that I am aware of.

A week ago, I would not have known who Rusty Hardin is. Now that I know, it's not helping.

If this doesn't alarm you, you need to pinch yourself to make sure you are still alive:

The Dallas News warned: “We have come to a place of great danger, where the plain evidence of corruption can no longer overcome the majority party’s determination to protect its self-interest and its agents."

"Political extremism involves two prime ingredients: an excessively simple diagnosis of the world's ills, and a conviction that there are identifiable villains back of it all." ---John W. Gardner

I think everyone with any semblance of sentience already knows that. The larger problem is that very few seem to care.

There is a measure of hope remaining in this. The DOJ is up next with many of the same charges.

Why should he fear the DOJ? He has been under felony indictment since 2015 and so far the DOJ has yet to bring him to trial.
