DeSantis may have "Trumped" himself when he ordered illegal migrants flown from Texas to Martha's Vineyard. From what little I know, it seems like it's probably a good case.
SOURCEA sheriff’s office in South Texas has called for a district attorney in the San Antonio area to file criminal charges in connection to a political stunt that saw 49 asylum-seekers transported from Texas to Martha’s Vineyard, with the plan having been orchestrated by Florida governor Ron DeSantis. The Bexar County Sheriff’s Office, following a monthslong investigation into the September incident, has recommended both felony and misdemeanor charges, but a spokesperson for the department would not name the suspect or the number of charges.
“At this time, the case is being reviewed by the DA’s office. Once an update is available, it will be provided to the public,” said Bexar County sheriff’s deputy Johnny Garcia, according to The Washington Post. Another department spokesperson, Adelina Simpson, told Axios that “the charge filed is unlawful restraint and several accounts were filed.”
