    For you steak lovers

I just finished a rare porterhouse steak accompanied by sautéed portabella mushrooms and Rot-Tel (Hot) diced tomatoes with habaneros.

I cut the mushrooms in chunks---most are halved and the largest quartered. That way when done they still have the full taste of the mushroom

I sauté them with butter and a bit of salt---just until the liquid is gone. It is a great addition to any steak

Mmmm... steak. IMHO - one of our top foods.

Took me several years to convince Wifey to eat steaks that are not well done. I realized it had occurred when she complained that her steak at Applebee's was too cooked. For me, the higher quality steaks suffer if not Medium Rare or rarer. And, a good restaurant/cook knows the difference.
