Walker is being praised for making a good concession speech. Like Dave, I think it was impressive.

This kind of----for want of a better term I will call it Ebonics---is not limited to those two locations. It, in one form or another, is common to predominantly black neighborhoods.

    An introduction.

Just as a comment on this---a big part of Harlem is now called Spanish Harlem for obvious reasons and in the Bronx the the black population is now second to Latino which is more than 50% of the population. That is not all bad news---while I love good soul food all soul food is not good. The Latino restaurants have a far better "good" rating. One of my favorite dishes in the Bronx is mofongo which is Puerto Rician and made with plantains---which normally I am not a fan of but in mofongo they take on a whole different flavor.

    Ok----here come the pc police
It's not just Black people who speak differently to different audiences. Hell, I do it too! No disrespect is intended, it is simply relating to the group you are with and being part of the group. Every group has it's own vernacular. For example, I speak differently at a cop shop in Houston than I speak with a bunch of hunters at deer camp, or with a bunch of cowboys in East Texas, or with bankers trying to get a loan, or with people at church, or............
