SBA could have told us all about the aircraft, a Mooney M20J, that was involved since he likely owned/flew at least one in his life...The basic design has been in more or less constant production and service nearly 70 years...The J model in this instance was produced between 1977 and 1987...The survivors of the crash can likely credit their survival at least in part to the fact they were in that tough old bird...But God and their rescuers still played the main roles......Ben

Big issue.. the “took time” issue was assuring that line was cold and grounded..
News bulletins all afternoon.. a lot of power shut down for hours..
