How Many Ants Are There on Earth? You’re Going to Need More Zeros.
There are 20 quadrillion ants worldwide, according to a new census, or 2.5 million for every living human. There are probably even more than that.
I know that many will find that difficult to grasp---but not ME
I once had the great misfortune of encountering fully all my 2.5 million while crawling on me belly across an arid plain in an attempt to close on a memorable antelope. With my attention focused solely on me quarry I accidently invaded the home of 2.5 million of fire ants----that had no sense of humor at all.
Sadly, while I was jumping up and down tearing off my cloths that damn antelope had the audacity to depart
