    I believe it’s an optical illusion caused by a poor attempt at traffic calming.. trying to slow traffic down.. our side-zags have little flowerbeds and parking spots and then a “roundabout “ ..

    It's California I didn't think they needed lines, I always figured if it was paved it was drivable that's why they pass on the shoulders.
