    Different day , new tune

I'm guessing that IF , the Republican Party takes over the leadership this year. The Democrat Party will change their tune and consider Semina and Machin to be heros for saving the filibuster .

    Of course they will.

...but I would not expect them to be shouting that from the roof tops

I find the entire discussion a demeaning statement of our current government. Lemon Boy used to talk about the value in grid lock---and that is not entirely wrong, IMHO. However, this is not grid lock---this is deep dysfunction that places partisan interests above the good of the country.

We, you and me, are simply flotsam on the sea of political foolery.

Two counties in the West Virginia Eastern Panhandle are in our local TV viewing area so we get a little WVa news..

In a political world of extremes and blind party lines, it’s nice to see someone think for themselves.. (two Republicans thought for themselves in the House and are getting death threats)

In hindsight.. Joe McCarthy was allowed to act the way that he acted.. but after he lost his power, no one liked him (and no one had ever liked him, once it was safe to express their disapproval).

Just my opinion, I could be wrong..
