Questions I Would Like Congress To Ask

The questions I would like to see asked of Command & the State Department in the Afghanistan evacuation are —

    1. Was there an armed U.S. drone on station over the Kabul airport entrance bombed at the time of the suicide bombing, as has been reported by Gateway Pundit?
    2. Was the suicide bomber identified and targeted by the drone operator before the attack?
    3. If so, was missile intervention refused by U.S. command?
    4. If that was the case, was taking out the suicide bomber refused in order to not irritate the Taliban and to further negotiations?

Roger Pardo-Maurer, the former U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Western Hemisphere Affairs (2001-2006), joined Jorge Ramos on Univision Noticias on Monday to discuss the unfolding disastrous withdrawal of US forces in Afghanistan.

During their conversation, Pardo-Maurer told Ramos the Department of Defense had foreknowledge of the Kabul Airport suicide bomber but denied permission to fire a Predator Drone missile once they had a lock on him.

Now that the Pentagon has issued its most sincere apologies for the shot it took that killed an innocent family, I wonder if we will live to see them apologize for the shot they did not take at the airport resulting in unnumbered deaths and injuries? Questions should at least be asked.

I'm beginning to learn more and more everyday that people really don't want to talk about the Biden administration's failures
OPINION....a view or judgment formed about something, not necessarily based on fact or knowledge.

If the suicide bomber was already int the crowd around the airport.. wouldn’t a drone shot have taken out a lot of collateral damage? And just how accurate are drone shots? The only have to get close..

Monday morning quarterbacking by a radio/TV entertainer?

Those are valid question I had in my mind too. The sketchy reports on this interview, which can be seen in the included interview, seem to indicate that the bomber was being tracked for hours (like the subsequent droning attack that killed an innocent family), so presumably he could have been taken out before he got in a crowd. This is a single source story, so I have my doubts about it, but, as they say “the seriousness of the charge requires the investigation.”

    Here’s a better account —

Director of MRC Latino, Jorge Bonilla, posted an interview with Pardo-Maurer. Pardo-Maurer, who was in the State Department for years, since at least 2001, said he was being told that the Department of Defense already knew who the bomber was ahead of time, before the bombing and when the Kabul attack would occur.

How do we know this report likely is true? Pentagon spokesperson John Kirby refused to talk about it and railed against leaking intelligence.

But Pardo-Maurer went further in his interview. He said not only did they know where and when it would happen, but that they had a Predator drone lock on the bomber, but that “they” refused to grant permission to take the guy out. “[Permission] was requested and was denied,” he said. Why? “Because we are in this process of negotiating with the Taliban who aren’t even in control of their own government or their own people.”
So is he really saying what it sounds like he’s saying? Because it sounds like he’s saying that we had the shot to take this guy out but they were afraid of angering the Taliban if they took the shot. Yikes. So not only had we outsourced our security to the Taliban. But we wouldn’t even properly protect our own people because it might disturb the enemy. We are truly living in a bizarre reality at this point with the Biden team.

Nothing is beneath the incompetence level of the yahoo’s who carried out this abominable retreat and capitulation. If Afghanistan were not landlocked, they would probably have left an intact aircraft carrier.
