I've been in 5 sea-going submarines in my travels. But, nothing as fast and efficient as that. My underwater adventures were in conventional subs in tourist spots like California and Hawaii. I'm on the claustrophobic side, but the sights underwater override that.

Apparently I am too, I just didn't know it until several years ago when I visited the museum ship, USS Batfish, in Muskogee Oklahoma...I paid the fee for the tour, looked all over the outside, but when it came time to board the boat through the same hatch in the deck used by the former crew members, I couldn't make myself do it...I had to be satisfied with what I learned on the topside......Ben

There's a submarine open for tourists in San Francisco Bay. Man, that thing is small and tight. I don't think I could stand up in any section of it. And, reading about tours of duty on submarines, I learned the sailors rarely bathed. Yep, if deployed in the military again, I'm staying topside.
