Printing and dumping trillion$ into a static economy can only result in debasing the currency (inflation, ot tax by another name). It is fore ordained. And, yes, Trump was guilty too as he is a populist, not a conservative. Biden and his ilk are engaged in it as if on Lefty steroids though.

I own two oil paintings done by WPA artists after President Roosevelt launched the agency. The whole concept was simple - get money moving throughout our economy - which the WPA did.

FDR’s Keynesian New Deal policies certainly “spread money around” through his WPA (Works Project Authority) CCC (Conservation Construction Corps) and other make-work projects. They even built a lot of very useful and worthy projects, but get the country out of the Great Depression, it did not do. That only happened with WWII. Since then, many governments have tried various schemes traceable to Keynes’ theories. Japan tried a series of them to try to revive their boom in the 80’s, when they were headed to world domination. Remember that fear? All of their attempts have failed miserably, yet the Keynesian economists are still everywhere and now proliferating in this administration...on steroids. They should be asked to show just one instance in which it can be said the theory actually worked.

Take a look at what the Democratic relief bills are actually designed to fund. No resemblance to the WPA. It reads like a special interest Christmas.
