    Nomadland

That's the name of the movie that won best picture at the Oscars this year. That would generally mean I would not like it or ever watch it. But I just got finished with it on Hulu. It is fabulous I highly recommend it.

I’m looking forward to it. I think that McDormand woman is great.

The subject is a strange one as well. This homeless gypsy thing is getting bigger. Blue 74 or someone here has experience down around quartzite az. There was also a strange movie called “into the wild” (or something like that) that spent lots of time centered around “the slabs” - a squatter community somewhere on an abandoned airfield or some such place. Modern day grapes of wrath stuff.

Waiting for it to show up on one of the "free" channels. Saw an ad from Hulu saying it's free - but on the site, it requires a trial subscription to see it.

McDormand is great... married to one of the Coen Brothers..

Olive Kitteridge is one of her better works.. and of course Fargo..

In fact the movie is so good but I might watch it again just to see if I missed any nuances the first time.

I watched it last night. I had hoped for more. A dark story, but one that is hard to stop thinking about. The nude scene with full bush was totally unexpected. You go girl

A sign of coming times I suppose.

I liked “Into the Wild” better. Check it out.

It was very Tastefully done and in no way was it sexual.

McDormand is “in no way sexual.”

I couldn't make it past the first 15 minutes or so.

It's dark No Doubt, and clearly not for everyone. I just thought it was beautifully photographed and identified with the plight of the people involved. I remember when all the campgrounds around here were full of people who lost their house during the Foreclosure crisis.

They have found their way to our mountains here. The forest circus makes them shuffle around every month or so when they egregiously violate the 21 day stay limit, but its just a different van in the same camping spot.

I don’t begrudge them. It’s the way I would do it if I were forced from my trappings.
