    Port Manatee drainage

Anyone following this? I was reminded of Dave's post about coal ash ponds. The **** we leave behind is astounding in it immensity. 500 million gallon lakes of polluted water and I dunno about anyone else but other than containing it, what is there to do with it? Ecological disasters await everwhere.

And to fix this immediate problem, the water is being pumped into the ocean, which once again we are using as a toilet.

Even the machinery being used is gigundous. A single pump is removing 24000 gallons of water a minute. A MINUTE!! Unreal.

They are reaping what they sowed.

Every city and state has a role in deciding what business can and can't do. When regulators let business slide....

It's a tough row to hoe. For, what's good for business is often good for the community as well (and vice versa). The difficulty is balancing the two.
