    Rental Car Shortage

Trying to reserve a rental car for an up coming trip and there are none. It appears the rental companies sold off their fleets last year... Things are just strange....

The car dealers around here are loaded with former rental vehicles and most of them are like new with very low miles.

That started a year ago when the pandemic shut down travel. It was an amazing number of cars being sold off.

They must be selling them cheap at the auction. I've been in the market for a 2020 Toyota RAV4 to replace the Honda Accord that my daughter just totaled last Friday. You can buy a 2020 RAV4 at a dealer for about $8,000 less than it was new with less than 12,000 miles. So you can imagine what the dealer paid for it.
