Yeah, I used to sit on the upper deck of my friend's beach house and watch tow boats pushing long strings of barges down the Intercoastal canal. It was really clear what wind did to them and also how long they had to begin their maneuvers to navigate the turns. I once had one side swipe my boat while it was docked on the side of the canal. No excuse since it was in a long straightaway and no wind.
