    How Automotive Differentials Work

An interesting video made in 1937 explaining the differential. This first couple of minutes will make you think you got a circus video, but give it a chance.

GM had a series of short films in the mid thirties to explain automotive dynamics to the public...I still get a better understanding of it each time I watch one, even after 35 years of mechanicing......Ben

Here is a FANTASTIC video on choke operation and function on a Quadrajet. I have a fewcarbed vehicles, and when the choke is properly adjusted they are very easy to start in cold weather.

BTW, I have a q-jet on my ford 418 stroker. Great for off roading.

I have no idea how many customers I educated on this exact starting method after I rebuilt their Quadrajets, or adjusted them...I never had a single one return saying my method didn't work, instead many said they looked like geniuses after showing their friends how to start a car...Rochester Quadrajets have been the best all-around carburetor for street use on V8's since the first one was sold......Ben
