Only current Trump pardon I'm in favor of.......

A U.S. president will again partake in the very strange and myth-filled tradition of "pardoning" a turkey at the White House Tuesday.

The birds' names are "Corn" and "Cob."

The White House has a poll on Twitter asking which should be spared.

It all seems very normal. That's one effect presidents hope for out of this tradition — to show a sense of normalcy. A president makes jokes about gobbling or trotting or uses some other fowl puns.

But, this year, it all seems wildly off and out of place.
Maybe a "FOWL" pardon but I can live with it.

That really is a dumb tradition. I wonder who started it?

All you ever want to know about turkey pardons.

It could have begun with Lincoln and it could have begun with Truman---even the turkeys aren't certain
