I took the night off last night! I let Mama take over.

I made my, what has become every third week run, to the butcher yesterday. On sale and finding it's way into my cart was two pounds of smoked sausage--so I used one pound of smoked sausage for dinner.

I added that to the Slap ya Mama Jambalaya mix, per the directions, only departing by adding one diced tomato and reducing the water by 1/2 cup. I intentionally did not do any further "enhancements". I did garnish with fresh parsley.

To limit the carbs, I served that with steamed cauliflower.

I was happy with the results--as was my wife, which is even more important

So---now I'm thinking I might try calamari next
