    You just have to feel compassion for the fire victims in CA.

    The picture below is from this morning's WSJ. It drives home the extent of these fires----they go far beyond "ill kept forests".

    I wonder if there would be a market for smoked raisins

    Even in areas where the wine grapes are not burned they are being ruined by the ash and soot falling on them and have to be destroyed..... I know two people personally that have lost their homes. They are devastated.
