I don't feel the same way about her. While I am sorry she passed, and she may have been a force in her earlier life, she just flat pissed me off with her refusal to step down. I thought she was an utter disgrace every time I saw a picture of her sleeping through someone's SC case. If you can't stay awake to do your job, it's time to step down, and that's any job, let alone a job where your job is to decide America's most important cases. Imagine having your case rising all the way to the SC, and she votes against you, and then you see pictures of her asleep during the arguments. How would you feel about that? She held on to that position out of ego. Which is why I think SC Judges should get lifetime appointments that end at 70 years old, just like other mandatory retirements.
