    Pikes Peak was a much better race before they paved it all the way to the top.......

    Cummins supplied the power, but it took a Ford to haul it to the top! Without the Ford, the Cummins would just rock back and forth on the ground making a hell of a racket.

    I raced it in '78 on a modified Harley Davidson Flat Track bike.... It did not go so well... Can't remember exactly but I finished low in my class. One time deal though.

    I remember seeing Pike's Peak from a distance when I was stationed in Colorado for USAF tech school...I never got any closer though...Another missed opportunity......Ben
