Houston looks pretty much in the clear at this point but your country home may get a little heavy wind and some rain but I think you're on the Fringe of it.

I missed that bit of bad news. Latest reports say 20’ tidal surge in Louisiana. Devastating.

It appears that my Houston area home is unscathed, as is my East Texas home so far. As of now, we have had almost no rain but I expect that to change soon based on radar images. It has started to get windy, but nothing bad. The forecast is for 40 mph winds in a couple of hours. That's not bad at all.

I am streaming Louisiana television and it is causing massive damages there.

I consider myself to be damned lucky the storm didn't track any further West.

I finally got hit with a power outage yesterday afternoon out of a clear sky...As I understand it, they redirected power from here to the areas east which were really hard hit...I don't mind that because emergency services needed the power a lot more than I needed A/C and a hot dinner...Power was back on this morning with no losses in the freezer, but I didn't get internet back until a few minutes ago...All is well here......Ben
