In the first real interview to which Biden has consented in months, he said he would “follow the scientists,” and shut down the country if the ones he chooses to consult say we should. This is on top of his proclamation that if he is elected he will mandate masks be worn by all anytime they go outdoors with no exceptions mentioned. I did not see the entire interview, but this article mentions that he gave no mention of a little thing such as lawful authority for such presidential command and control freakery.

Funny you should mention that because you Trump haters are constantly telling us that President Trump is an authoritarian in waiting to become das führer, yet in this pandemic they squeal and shout for him to put the entire country -with zero authority under the law - into mandatory economy ruining lockdown only to have Trump respond by saying he can only advise the governors, which he did at Fauci’s recommendation. Now, would-be President Biden warns us he will seize the authority and start by mandating mask wearing. Who is the authoritarian here? Very odd how that works.

Of course Biden learned from his mentor, President Obama, when he sat at his knee and watched him repeat over and over that he had no Constitutional power to grant young illegal aliens any out from established law (23 times on video, as I recall), and then did it anyway. Now there’s authoritarianism right in your face for you. To top it off zer’O just stood before the country and said President Trump has no regard for the Constitution. Yes, very odd how that works.
