    Keeping track of the ballots

From an email received this morning confirming the status of my ballot request. This will continue through the election to assure both my receipt of the ballot and their receipt of my returned ballot.

The MONTGOMERY County Election Office has processed your ballot application on 07/17/2020.
    Your application status is: Approved.
If your application was approved, you will receive an email when your ballot is mailed, which will occur in September or October. You can always check your ballot status at the following Department of State link: https://www.pavoterservices.pa.gov/P...tTracking.aspx
If you have questions about your ballot application, please contact MONTGOMERY County at (610) 278-3280.
    Thank you

Maybe my last vote in the voting booth, would be very sad to mail it after a life time of doing it right.

I've been mailing in ballots for over 30 years, Billy.

I hope you have many more left Billy

In my case, I have been doing this seemingly for ever since I have traveled most of my adult life and never know where I might be. That said, I have never seen this level of "oversight" by the County Board of Elections---and I have to believe that is a good thing.

So a linkless (I'm busy hunting) update to CO voting by mail. Some of you will enjoy this because it exemplifies Federal ineptitude.

So, Colorado has been voting by mail for years. I'm a big fan. I don't believe I've ever heard of it leading to widespread problems.

Until now. Seems the USPS, under someone's direction, has decided to send mailers to voters here explaining an imaginary federal process that conflicts with Colorado laws. We are now having to sue to keep the post office from sending out bogus information.

In private industry this is a phone call. Remember that next time someone wants you to listen to these goobermint bozos.

Yeah, our experiences with voting by mail have gone well too. But, I do remember a Nevada case during the last election where a woman voted in several precincts - which the system caught. She was prosecuted.
