    Flying with COVID

Nurse Paula flew up to see the kids yesterday. I put her on Southwest because they had a policy of not booking the center seats and sterilizing the plane after each flight as well as a change in the turn over time for the cabin air with fresh air.

She called me when she got off the flight and said it was kind of strange. There was less than 20 passengers and only 2 flight attendants.. It was like she had the whole plane to herself. everyone was wearing mask and sitting 4 rows apart.

She is a strange bird when she flys by her self she will head to the far rear of the plane and take seat A. I never reserve a seat for her when she is alone. Why pay that fee when she wants a seat no one else takes.

TSA was a breeze as well, she said there was no one in line.

I guess I would have no problem getting my preferred Exit row Isle seat at this time.

At my age I won't even get on a plane any more. Also ha ha my pilot licence has expired, like well over 20 years ago.

I'm pretty much directly under the Dove Creek VOR. Air traffic is virtually non existent. My night skies at the cabin are glorious.

The terrestrial traffic is ridiculous though. Today I saw 31 side x sides and ATV's on the forest roads I drive home. And a dipchit with AZ plates tried to drive his chit box car into my f350 head-on at 2 mph while he read his map thinking his car was in park while it rolled across our dam (road crosses it). If I hadn't been there to honk at him at 3' in his open window, he might have ridden her the 300' down to the bottom.

I am certainly ready for everyone to go home. On topic, I thank my lucky stars almost every day that I don't sit in seat 2a anymore. The view from that office window got a little old after about 1,000,000 miles.

Or maybe you can’t be allowed to fly during Covid because the airline boots your family off when your 5 year-old autistic child refuses to wear a mask —

I have no problem with what SW did. I'm actually surprised the nanny state still allows them that kind of latitude.

As a reformed frequent flyer, I am of the opinion that the airlines are far too lenient in who they allow to fly. The list of disqualifications is long for this old plick.

The lawyer still unfortunately left in me tells me a lawsuit claiming a violation of the Americans With Disabilities Act See 42 U.S.C. §§ 12131–12165 is coming on this one.

ADA is nothing but an excuse for a lawsuit...I'm as healthy as you get but on a high Ozone day I could file a suit......
