    Wowzers! Great road trip!

Best of luck to Ruth and her partner..

I remember the first time we drove Nebraska.. after hundreds of miles of corn fields, we saw a sunflower field.. we were excited!

Iowa.. stop at Iowa 80 truck stop just west of Davenport.. largest truck stop in the world.. nothing like it.. has a dentist office.. huge.. just huge..

Another Iowa high point is the tenderloin sandwich.. pork tenderloin pounded, breaded and fried on a hamburger bun.. I don’t understand how McDonald stay in business with tenderloin sandwich around..

    Safe travels..

May all of the trophies exceed the rigs gross weight

I get the Iowa 80 catalog. Passed by the truck stop. Did not fit my itinerary. 13 hours behind the wheel with fuel stops then two hours unloading followed by dropping the trailer and setting up camp. My day went from 3 am to 11pm. I am doing jack today and loving it

How hard , on the horse , is a trip like that ?. I mean he/she has to be adjusting balance constantly as the trailer moves.

We have cushion foam under the stall mats. They tend to reduce muscle fatigue. I have a camera on her, on the freeway the ride is rather smooth I don't see her getting bounced around

We'd stop about every 2-3 hr and check on them when we brought them from WA to AZ years ago. More of a stop for us as well. Every other time we find a spot to pull off and bring them out of the trailer and walk them around, etc... Had the foam mat also on the floor. Some places in Utah we'd ask if they could be on the grassy area around the stations and a few said yes and even came out and talked a bit. That was back in 2000 though.
