Acting State Department Watchdog Resigns
WASHINGTON—Stephen Akard, who has served as the acting State Department inspector general since the May ouster of Steve Linick, has resigned his post and plans to join the private sector, the department said Wednesday.
Diana Shaw, the deputy inspector general, will serve as the next acting inspector general.
