I bet it was when they figured out they were going to get their ass's kicked even worse.

A vote for Biden is just a vote for more of this. Utah think about that

    Back to Portland:

President Donald Trump has said federal officers stationed at the courthouse will remain in Portland through at least Friday. Neither they nor state troopers were seen during Thursday’s demonstration, which drew a crowd surpassing 2,000 people.

The protest was the calmest in weeks and stood in stark contrast to recent demonstrations, during which federal officers often deployed tear gas and issued recurrent warnings in response to fireworks, lights and thrown items.

Troopers at the courthouse earlier in the day were wearing their standard-issue two-tone blue uniforms and broad hats, representing a marked change from the appearance of federal officers — many of whom dressed in camouflage fatigues and tactical gear during protests.

I said early in this confrontation that if the Mayor and governor did not want the Feds there in force protecting the Federal buildings all they had to do was rational policing of their own. The Feds were not authorized to clear a proper perimeter around their property, which only served to invite the mayhem and assaults, so the Feds had to sit behind their fence and be targets before responding. The local police are not so encumbered. When the state & local police cleared the park adjacent to the Federal buildings the assaults magically went away. Jeez, could the two events be connected? Could this have happened magically two months ago had the cops been allowed to do their jobs then?

The fellow-traveler mayor and governor are responsible for the damages.

Another local event in which the rabble rousers are finding new ways to resurrect old incidents in order to make the 10 o'clock news...I remember this one from several years ago, and I even knew the kid who died...He worked at a local car wash that I took my truck to...The police officer was arrested, tried, convicted and sentenced...The civil suits never end, and it's likely this protest will trigger a new one...Dissatisfaction with a verdict is a forever thing too......Ben

I think the loud mouth in Ben's video should have had his kicked so bad that he looked like a stain on the sidewalk. There is no respect for anybody or anything any more. Some people need to be taught what it is, then they can choose if they do or don't!

Brian Murphy, the acting under secretary for intelligence and analysis, was reassigned to a new position in the department after his office disseminated to the law enforcement community “open-source intelligence reports” containing Twitter posts of journalists, noting they had published leaked unclassified documents, according to an administration official familiar with the matter. It was not clear what Mr. Murphy’s new position would be.

Chad F. Wolf, the acting secretary for the Department of Homeland Security, made the decision on Friday after ordering the office to halt the intelligence examination, the administration official said. Mr. Wolf has also asked the Homeland Security’s Office of Inspector General to investigate any efforts by the intelligence branch to collect information about protesters or journalists.

The ouster came after The Washington Post reported that Mr. Murphy’s office compiled reports that in part targeted The New York Times’s publishing of an intelligence analysis indicating that the Homeland Security Department had little understanding of the situation in Portland when it deployed teams of tactical agents in camouflage to face crowds of protesters.

In addition to summarizing the tweets of a Times reporter, Mike Baker, the intelligence reports also included a tweet by Benjamin Wittes, the editor in chief of Lawfare, a blog about law and national security, who had shared an internal memo that warned Homeland Security officers not to leak to the press.

The reports also included a tweet from Mr. Wittes that showed an email from Mr. Murphy telling the intelligence officers to refer to individuals attacking the federal courthouse in Portland as “VIOLENT ANTIFA ANARCHISTS.”

Reporters publish their scribblings and do not want or expect government bureaucrats to read them?

    Possibly you missed this part:
