Since moving to the country I now have a new congress critter, Louie Ghomert. Congressman Ghomert recently introduced legislation that would force the Democrat Party to change its name due to its long-term support of slavery and its suppression of black voters. Failure to make the name change would ban the Democrat Party from participating in House activities. My new Congressmen might be fun to watch in the future.

100-130 years ago a powerful plurality erected monuments that offended and hurt a powerless minority..
Now, a powerful plurality is removing/replacing offensive/hurtful monuments against the wishes of a powerless minority..
