I have consistently opposed the expansion of the military police state, whether it was their massive arms purchases or the hardening "defense" of Federal lands. The Federal government is our largest neighbor around here, and the 800 pound gorilla in the room. Federal LEO's are FAR more common around here that the local guys. Im not sure what they do, but it isn't community outreach. I like my local law enforcement, because I have a say in who it is.

As for Portland, I would support us pulling out and letting them have a federal free zone if they want it. We all support (at least the libertarians) control at the most local level, and if you can keep Walmart out, why not a federal courthouse or prison? Let them burn the place if anarchy is what they want.

And what does this have to do with TDS? I believe you may be starting to show symptoms
We can't let them burn down our Federal Court Houses or any building offering or conducting Federal business. That crosses the line. The news I saw last night clearly showed a massive attack on a Federal Courthouse which was more than adequately protected by Home Land Security, Federal Marshals and Border Patrol Officers. Not dark shadowy mystical Federal assassin's with murder in their veins. And hell yes they put the arrested in unmarked vans, why give the anarchists another target to burn. If the states want to let them burn their buildings down including police department, well that's on them. And as to this ridiculous notion that Federal law enforcement is not actively engaged in ever state in this union is equally ridiculous. The first number the local police in cities large and small call when they have a bad guy on the run is the US Marshall"s and they are quite effective in bringing them to justice, many time folks only charged with state law crimes and captured in that same state

If they are destroying property, by all means beat their dumb asses.

I just don't think we will make libs love us more if we beat them harder.

I agree---and the same thought applies to a lot of people, not just libs

If I may where are all the states right people that are on this site? State should take care of the problem and not the feds sent in without being asked. If they are tasked with protecting the building what the hell are they doing in the street?
Not saying anyone is right or wrong, but how the country got started was by people protesting the king.

Seems to me if the city and state cannot, or will not make their city safe, then the only alternative is for the feds to step in. I believe that is what has happened in Portland.

I'm with Joe biting my lip also. I can't say any of it pretty but to allow thugs black, white, purple or any color to burn down take over. destroy anything, attempt bodily harm on the police is insane. What kind of country are we looking to be like, what's our message? We're scared and weak? What's going on is not America and I'm sorry the white man had such a huge part in making it what it is...was. Making a third world country out of us to appease blacks or anyone else is more than just stupid. We've housed, fed, and paid the black man for years we also hung them for years it was a terrible time a disgusting time, it happened I'm sorry allowing them to be who we were in the sixties isn't going to fix anything. We need to move on together and make this country great again, what ever it takes!

I'm not as emotionally invested as some of you. I feel like both sides were looking for a fight.

    The shooting has started —

This mutt gave an interview and was asked why he was toting an AK-47 to a march and tells the camera that “the people who hate us are pussies and want do anything.” He then sticks his AK in the face of a driver of a car the mob stops in an Austin street and the pussy shoots his ass completely off. Guess he was wrong.

The driver was later released when video showed self defense.

Trump’s arguments about anarchists and revolutionaries are similarly flawed and false. The allegations, like much of what Trump says, are simply not true. America's constitutional guarantees of free speech and assembly aren't unconditional, but nor are they limited to causes that Trump likes. They are also for speech and ideas that, to certain ears, sound dangerously un-American but nonetheless are protected by the Constitution.

I promise you Fred, Trump is not the only one against this "cause" where people are taking war to the street. There is no Constitutional protection for that kind of behavior.
