Joe, I have to ask, in all seriousness, is your continued denial of what is going on being done as a bit of intellectual sparing or do you actually believe what you are putting out?

I all in for an answer to that question.

My inference from reading about this Chi-Com gifted virus pandemic is that it is a rolling infection that will get to us all. We can slow the rate to protect surges at hospitals, but without the virus mutating out of its current virulent state, effective treatment or a safe/effective vaccine, then virtually everyone get it eventually. All the “prevention measures” are pounding sand around the math of it.

The only fortunate part of the equation is that very few people who catch it die from it although many more may wish they had. It is a hyper version of the flues which kill tens of thousands every year that we hardly notice.

Joe, I agree. But I think "pounding sand" to slow the spread and keep the surges at hospitals down is better than an all out, let's go for broke, and get it over with all at once strategy. I think if we did that all infrastructure would collapse due to the virus. We can't let that happen.

Sweden is the only industrialized country I know about that tried that. I think their reasoning was “get it over with.” Certainly no state here has tried that...not even South Dakota, which has come close and remains at the bottom for infection rates for obvious reasons.

I think it is pretty simple but fools, teenagers and others do not really care. Wear a mask in public, unless you are in a park, open space, farm, but always when around groups of people. Use approved hand sanitizers every time you touch something. DO NOT touch your hands or fingers to anything on your face. Stay away from crowded enclosed gatherings i.e. bars, theater's, concerts, sporting events. Otherwise go on about your business until the medical field comes to our rescue.

And that's just how simple it is. I don't understand why some folks are so damn resistant.

Joe, if your premise is correct how do you explain Italy, Canada and other countries who have had far more success than us?

If you will tell me what you mean and by what measure you define “success,” we can go from there.

You continue to avoid answering the questions. Just for giggles let's define success as managing new case numbers at a reduced rate.

You are still trying to compare case #s from countries that have nowhere close to our testing rates...apples & oranges. It is simple, the more tests, the more new cases in every country. Are we finding new cases, or are we reporting new test results on existing cases?

If, instead, the “success rate” is measured by what can be argued as most important - the death rate measured by ratio to 100k population - the United States compares well with industrialized countries reporting reasonably reliable statistics —

Btw, I am still waiting for your desires of how government is to stem the rate of infections and where Trump went wrong.
