    Gringos stay out...

In a strange twist, Mexico has closed the border and gringos are not allowed:

Before long no one will have us. I never thought I would see the EU ban us either.

I've never liked or respected anything EU. May it die a quick death once Brexit is finalized.

We we prohibited many European countries from coming to the United States in the early stages of the virus why should we fault them
or make it a political thing that they don't want Americans coming into their country since we have a large number of people with the Coronavirus. I don't even know why the coronavirus is a political issue it's a health issue

I respect that---but this has huge economic implications for them as well as us--beyond any political aspects. I don't have the dollar figures at my finger tips but just the tourist trade dollars are eminence. This decision did not come lightly.
For someone like me, who trades in the EU this becomes very complicated. I have a new finishing line that just left Italy and will arrive in NYC July 12. At this point I have no technicians available to install that line. I am facing the same issues with another major ($1.2 million) order coming from Germany and due to ship in early September.

I have worked in and with the EU---before the EU existed. I could not begin to count the number of trips I have made and the time I have spent there. To now be barred (and for a reason I understand) is simply not anything I would have ever expected to see

But, then again this pandemic is not something I imagined would happen.

Canada basically cancelled hunting season for Americans. The lunatic fringe of 1%r's is banging their silver spoons on their high chairs.

The US Canadian border has been closed since March:

The U.S.-Canada border has been closed to non-essential cross-border traffic since March 21, with repeated 30-day extensions. Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau announced two weeks ago that the border would again remain closed through at least July 21 as parts of the United States see another surge in Covid-19 cases.
Take a look at the curve for covid infections in Canada and compare that to the US.

But---their flattened curve is most likely due to the fact that most cases have gone undiagnosed because they are waiting to get a doctors appointment (I thought I'd honor Joe and beat him to that comment.)

I will add, that while everyone seems on the ready to point the finger of blame on these entities that have banned US citizens from entry, you just might want to ask yourself if they are justified in doing that due to the mismanagement of this pandemic in the US. The proof is in the figures, and ignore them if you like---but we, as a country, have failed to control this.

All this misery and loss yet virtually no one aims their ire at the correct target, President-for-Life Zi and the Red Chinese who knowingly and purposely seeded their virus on the world. Odd...

So--not to let China off the hook for providing this for us, I fail to see how that excuses us from more effective prevention. Your deflection of our own obligation is akin to those at trump's rallies signing a waver about getting sick. Really---what about all the other people that possibly stand to be infected by the attendees who weren't party to that waver? Does the cult now have a right to sign away my rights?

That is the height of idiocy and denial.

Enjoying your acrimony and maybe victimhood are you? Sign of the times, I guess.

I did years ago before the deadly cartels began to run the country.
