Most other high-income countries are dealing with modest numbers of new cases — often an inevitable consequence of reopening — and the countries are responding aggressively. Many are following the advice of public health experts, ordering social distancing, mask-wearing and partial lockdowns and doing their best to track people who came in contact with new patients.

Ok, so exactly which leadership failed? The feds have been failing public health forever......ask any Indian.
I'm not sure what exactly we should be discussing? Trump didn't cause this and didn't ruin the economy so old guys with less than a 1% chance of dieing could be safe. Did he?

Nope. Wondering what you think the role of the feds should be in enforcing public health policy/directives. Not sure I have ever seen you articulate your vision. If your post is another about the behavior of the chief executive, then yeah there is no point in a discussion. When the medical chops of candidates are a primary consideration, it's too late anyway.
