There is a long list of airlines I avoid---far longer than the list of those that I do fly.

Even the Pakistani truck mechanics on YouTube might need more than a couple of days to get that A320 back in the air......Ben

In the US I avoid some US based airlines more because of poorer service than safety concerns. Foreign airlines (including flag airlines), other than western Europe based, are on my avoid list. For the Pacific rim, other than US based, the Flag airlines are the next best (and in some cases ie Cathy Pacific they are better). KAL and JAL are both excellent choices.

I prefer not to land with the plane. It's safer that way.

My first flight was aboard one of the surplus C-47's of TTA (Trans Texas Airways, or more commonly called Tree Top Airlines) from Tyler to the USAF induction center in Dallas...As I recall altitude was limited to a couple of hundred feet because of the broken windows...Trans Caribbean Airways was a small upgrade for most of my deployments across the Atlantic, aboard one of their stretch-8's...No matter what the listed passenger capacity was I remember being told there were over 300 people on board for those flights...My favorite flight was on a Lockheed C-141 Starlifter during a 12 day trip from Holloman AFB in NM back to Spangdahlem AB in West Germany...

These days if I can't drive to where I need to be, then I don't really need to be there......Ben

After your election will you prefer a round military chute, or something more maneuverable when you egress Air Force One?...Remember too that the Secret Service will be jumping with you...They have female agents, so maybe a tandem?......Ben

I went to the airport on Tue when Trump was in town just to see Air Force One. It's high on my list of favorite planes.

The best experiences I've had were on Singapore Air.

Agree, I should have included them.

I prefer private when somebody else is paying for it.

After a million miles, I have only been on a plane ONCE (HI) in the last 5 years.

After another million on a King Air, I agree private is best IF you don't have to pay the bills and manage pilots. SAS had the best business class, but I've only flown a half dozen brands across the pond.

King Air is a great plane but the door is kind of tight for a tall guy....
