Things like a pandemic that strongly affect the economy and racial strife are always seriously damaging to an incumbent. Frankly had it not been for the virus and the malicious killing of the man in Minneapolis I was thinking Trump would win the presidency again solely based on Biden's inability to communicate with any logic or understanding. Now I'm to the point that the virus and the police killing we're gifts to the left that might just do Trump in. I hope not but I certainly can see that trumps got a tough row to hoe

I think you are right, Tom. But for circumstances beyond his control, Trump owned the election.

I question what Biden is supposed to "lead"? He is currently a nobody presidential hopeful. He has no "leadership" position. Just what is he supposed to "lead"?

Just for starters he could come out with a strong statement condemning the violence and criminality associated with the protests. To my knowledge he has not uttered a word and those are "his" voters doing it.

He may be not quite "there" anymore, but I don't think he is stupid enough to castigate his own voters.

He did manage to tell black voters that if they did not vote for him they weren’t really black.
