    New missile deployed

They are calling it the "ninga" missile. Looks like it works pretty good. Took out two bad guys.

Wow! That's a new one to me...
100 percent deadly danger zone of 30 inches.
I remember playing with flechette 20MM ammo and bomblets in the 60's, but this could be a real game changer when the cowards want to hide among a non-combatant population......Ben

It’s been around and used for a couple of years now. Pretty insidious, really.

There is an older thread here somewhere describing this missile. I think it was used to take out Qasem Soleimani.

The less published about it the better... Our military needs to keep our stuff quiet...

In my military days we worried more about AP mines (e.g., Claymore, etc.) but this missile of "knives" is something I'm glad I missed.

Add a depleted uranium rod from a nuclear powerplant to the core plus a guidance system, drop from 45,000 feet and you'll have some very unhappy bunker dwellers......Ben

At 3000fps, which is about 2000mph, I think you are talking missiles rather than bombs and would pack a hell of a lot of kinetic energy into whatever it hit.

That's 2045.455 mph, or just under Mach 3...To compare my 230 gr. .45FMJ leaves the muzzle at 850 fps or 579.545, mph, or subsonic......Ben

Since he was a B-52 jockey 45,000 feet was well within their ceiling.

The max altitude is 50,000. He told me, that as a pilot instructor he would take students up to that altitude so they would know what to expect. The controls become progressively funky.

A fairly good explanation here, Mike...Think of it as chewing gum left on the bedpost overnight...It tends to lose its flavor, but still has its sticky properties......Ben
