All those characters were wounded mightily when Mel Blanc passed, IMO.
Mel, Jr., just could not quite get it.

Then here's another to ease your mind from the woes facing the President, Dave...The voice Mel uses in this one is probably his own natural speaking voice...His son, Mel Jr., said it was pretty close to Sylvester the Cat's voice but without the lisp...Close your eyes and imagine Sylvester...Sufferin' succotash!......Ben

Jack Benny was the greatest straight man in history. Was there anybody in America that did not love his humor?
Today, he would be ridden out of town on a rail for having Rochester around. I’m kind of surprised the mob hasn’t screamed until YouTube/Google banned those shows.

Yes...I call it XM Radio Channel 148...

[Note: I've had the same XM receiver for the last 15 years...I can switch it from vehicle to vehicle as circumstances warrant...I've only changed channels once when XM changed the channel lineup to move Old Time Radio from 86 on the dial to 148...I'm told there are other channels but I have no idea what their programming is, and don't care...I'm perfectly happy listening to not only Jack Benny, but Fred Allen, Bob Hope, Orson Welles, Sherlock Holmes, Sam Spade, Johnny Dollar, Dragnet, Hopalong Cassidy and Romance of the Ranchos, not to mention WWII news broadcasts complete with Lucky Strike and Lux Soap commercials...]

As do I......I will check it out. I could use a laugh too.

My dad smoked Lucky Strikes. Who here doesn't remember pixxing a floating butt to pieces. The good old days.
