The Democrats are wetting their pants

As the current economic surge and the market completely recovering from all losses that were incurred prior to the plague continues I don't care who you give the credit to it's not good for weekend with Bernie Biden and that's a good thing

Don’t look now, Honda, but those first reports of a surge are misleading. I reckon that, while there is pent up demand galore, there are too many businesses they have been done in by the shutdown and then the rioters/looters following. This is going to be tougher to come out of than thought by many. D’rats are loving the prospect and will not help.

I agree with Joe. If any political ideology is "winning" in current events, its liberalism. I also agree that there will be baacklash, but not till after the hangover, and we just only got drunk.

    Wouldn’t count my chickens....

I personally am taking this opportunity to roll $$$ into bonds and “cash”... I hear the “clat, clat, clat “ of the roller coaster on the first hill..

And.. I live “behind the blue wall”.. Republicans don’t even field candidates here, it’s a waste of $$$.. The Dems are no more organized or able to pull of a wicked plot than a bunch of kindergarteners..

And there is a movement underway at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave to give the election away..

Just my opinion.. I could be wrong..

I think it's a wise move...I rolled one of my annuities into another one a year ago...I was advised to allocate half into bonds and the other half into stocks based on what my bankers could foresee...I just got my first annual valuation...The stock half made nothing, but thanks to the type of annuity I bought, it was guaranteed not to lose any value...Therefore the stock side remained neutral, no gain nor loss...The bond half had a 6.25% increase in value, giving the entire annuity a boost of 3% even after the monthly maintenance fees were taken into account...My advisors recommended no change to the allocation for the coming fiscal year based on their confidence in a rebounding stock market...I agreed, and left it at 50/50...

My other annuity gained 4.25% for the fiscal year, and I get to cash it in or roll it into something else next year......Ben

I agree. But, I'm one of the vultures who liquefies at the top to turn around and buy back in at the bottom. I'm a classic Free Enterprise opportunist, and freely admit it. And, this is not about some dark thinking on civilization, quite the opposite. I foresee good economic times ahead (which will be ripe to exploit).

Ben - that's a lot of cans to return. For me, I would be seeing cans of Coors in my future as payback. Wifey and I are in a Recycle Zone which collects recycling materials from our house every two weeks.

I rescue a lot of cans from the yellow top receptacles provided to residents...I firmly believe that Waste Management dumps it all in a landfill anyway...Think about it: they collect cans, plastic, glass and cardboard into one truck which they compact as they drive the route...It's the same truck and driver as appears on regular trash collection day...You're not going to convince me that they push all of Tuesday's collections out on a clean warehouse floor where someone separates the items and re-bundles it...I think it all goes in the same landfill...On the contrary, when I lived in Houston, residents were provided with separate bins which were loaded into separate compartments when the truck arrived......Ben

    Off topic but...
We have mandatory recycling.. we pay for landfill and recycle pays us.. anyway.. glass is no longer being recycled.. maybe no market..

Anyway.. the county now collects glass in special dumpsters, grinds it up and ads it to asphalt for road paving.. keeps it out of the landfill..

On subject.. I’m still waiting for another drop and a stabilization a few hundred points down..

Just my opinion, hope I’m not wrong..
