    Many questions, no answers

The stereotypes we may harbor don't always hold out.

If we don't search, for the underlying cause and fix that, we are condemned to repeat it. This has nothing to do with "oh poor them"---this has everything to do with some serous effort to learn from this experience.

A curious case indeed. The alleged crime is not one of “opportunity.” You don’t ride around in a riot and suddenly think, “Wow, there’s a police car with a broken window...wish I had a spare Molotov Cocktail to throw in there...oh, there’s one right next to me on the seat!” No, you have to plan for an attack by gathering the materials to make your bomb(s). It is uncertain whether the industrious couple were able to give away to the passing mob any of the bombs they offered, as shown in the photo from earlier in the night.

As an aside, I found it interesting that one of the accused, Urooj Rahman, was described as Salmah Rizvi‘s “best friend.” Rizvi has an interesting history herself as a very connected government functionary and international security advisor in the Obama Administration who is said to have participated in preparing that president’s daily security briefings and was educated under a CAIR grant. She stood for Rahman’s $250,000 bail before it was revoked.
