In almost every case these days...”yes,” but all Bluetooth versions are not the same. The encoding (send) and the decoding(receive) capabilities differ from version to version and device to device. Version 5.2 with APTX recieving capabilities is the latest and greatest to look for in your headphone, but can only decode to the max if your broadcasting device is equally capable.
If you aren’t an audio freak like me, forget about the differences.

Nurse Paula uses these and is very happy with the sound and comfort:

I'm sure Nurse Paula's upcoming inauguration as First Lady allows her an unlimited budget for her hearing aids, but being self-unemployed here, my meager monthly stipend puts a severe bind on my discretionary spending...Something like this is more in my price range, but I'm not sure whether it meets Joe's technical approval...Also what do I need to make it compatible with the sound from my computer or TV?......Ben

All of the Bluetooth headphones are backwards compatible with the versions on your sending device. So, a headphone such as you show with capabilities to receive Version 5.0 will receive signals from older Bluetooth capable computers sending, say, Version 2.0 I’m guessing your computer does have Bluetooth, but whether your TV set does is more problematical. Some do; some don’t.
Nurse Paula’s is from a premier headphone maker, hence the cost, but it apparently has its own dedicated Bluetooth transmitter, which removes the TV problem for those that do not have inherent Bluetooth capabilities.

I use wireless ear buds. Picked a pair up at Amazon for 19.99. They work great.

I looked in my settings and this computer seems capable of using it...I don't know whether I'll need some kind of USB device to go with it, but I suppose the way to find out is just order it...My TV is a mystery......Ben

This is what I got. Apparently they don't carry them anymore. But they have many options that are essentially the same.

Over the years I have collected four sets of wireless over the ear headphones and three sets of wireless ear buds, including those from Apple and from Samsung. The enclosed over the ear headphones all out-perform the wireless ear buds in both sound quality and comfort. That said, I am more likely to be found using the ear buds than the ear muffs.

Thanks, Tom...I would be concerned about them staying put, and whether they are comfortable for long periods......Ben

I have used both over the years, the buds seem to be in vogue and cheap so I took the dive. I prefer in the ear protection from shooting over headphones in that context too. the good thing is either will help you hear much better.

I'm used to earmuffs rather than earplugs so I guess I'll try to over the ear type and see what happens...Thanks for the advice guys......Ben

If your TV does not have its own Bluetooth transmitter, you might want to create one with a dongle that attaches to either a headphone plug or USB port on the set. They vary widely in price at Amazon. Check the version it transmits, the later, higher # the better. Query “Bluetooth converter for television.”
