The comments by people who've seen this plane focus greatly on how beautiful the plane is.

And, the video was excellent - detailed enough that I could see the propeller blades on each wing rotating in opposite directions. Very cool.

    Loved it.

I was unable in the time I had to identify the exact variant of the Constellation model, so here is a Wiki entry for the military ones of the era. Looks like cruising speed was somewhere in the 325-350 range with ceiling in the 25,000 ft. range. I, like most people, always thought it a beautiful aircraft. Apparently, this aircraft is now on display in Tucson for you Arizona guys —

S/N 48-0614 Columbine — on display at the Pima Air and Space Museum in Tucson, Arizona. This aircraft was used by Dwight D. Eisenhower during his role as Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe commander before he became president. It is on loan from the National Museum of the U.S. Air Force.[40]
On edit: the one above may be a prior Eisenhower Connie.

I was just as interested in the B-25, which they did not dwell upon.

They were a beautiful plane to fly in. The seating for TWA included some "sets" of seats that were face to face with a removable table in between. Full planes just didn't happen in those days and it was common for the stewardess would play cards with us to pass the time. I often thought to myself, that as a business man it would be difficult to do better than a stewardess when choosing a wife.. They were always poised and obviously picked for all their apparent good points. Seldom did you see one without a smile. In those days we all wore suits. It was a different day and a different time.

There was mention (and you could see it) of an oil leak in #2 engine---very few of the radial engines did not have oil leaks. I used to watch the oil run back over the top of the wing and drop off the trailing edge of the flap---clear signs of laminar flow (drawing on my fluid dynamics courses). I learned to not be alarmed until it was a steady stream running off the flap---that would cause me to keep a close eye on it.

72 cylinders pumping out 10,000hp for hours on end seems like a mechanical miscue just waiting to happen.

I notice that the cruising speed of the B-25 was in the 275mph range, which explains why they were worried about keeping ahead of the Connie for the photo shoot.
