Can anyone tell me why it is acceptable for a Walmart cashier to be face to face with 6 - 800 people a day, and it is dangerous for a barber to see 1

Yeah, tell me about it. I'm coming up on the usual time for a haircut and am not sure what to do.
Several years ago, my wife thought she'd help out by cutting my hair. The result would have made a good sit-com. Never again.

Because it is essential that millions of people spend their stimulus money keeping the supply lines open between the US and China, but maintaining a well groomed appearance while doing so is non-essential...My barber for the last 30 or so years has offered to make a house call when she comes to town, but it looks like she'll re-open her salon in the next few days anyway......Ben

As an aside...I went to the big grocery store today, and I think all my neighbors decided on the same day that it was a giant coming out party day because the joint was full of people like any normal day. Everyone had masks on, but safe distances were nowhere to be seen.
Maybe the situation was enhanced because the Texas governor announced that Friday as some kind of loosening of the rules start, but I think he was merely getting ahead of the curve sensing people are fed up and starting to move on their own. I cut my own hair a couple of weeks ago. I used my beard clippers and I was surprised just how easy it was.

So, I did the same for myself. The back was a bit of a problem so I got my daughter to take care of that.
I may never go to the barber again!

My wife has cut for years what remains of my hair, but since her last stroke, she can’t see well enough, so my son took over...crudely...but it’s just hair on an old man. As my grandson says concerning many things about the old folks, “Nobody cares, Granddad.”

We are opening Nurse Paula's salon next week. It's a nice change. I have a job and we can open her business. Life is better around here...
